Cruiser of the Year 2019!
The Sun Odyssey 410 wins the “British Yachting Awards” in the category of “Cruiser of the Year” 2019. The Jeanneau team received the honours Monday 2th December during the British Yachting Awards celebration at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in London. This prestigious award from Sailing Today and Yachts and Yachting magazines honours each year the sailing world, from cruising to regattas. Internet users had the privilege of voting for and electing their favourite boats in a range of categories.
This price highlights the significant collaborative work between the Jeanneau crew, Marc Lombard and Jean-Marc Piaton, respectively the architect and designer of the Sun Odyssey 410. The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey beat off the stiff competition in this category. The 410 is the latest addition to the Sun Odyssey range and is designed by French designer Marc Lombard, who is known for his racing designs and who took features from cutting edge race yachts and translated them to this performance cruiser. The ‘Dreadnought’ bow, non-immersed forefoot and full-length chine, though, are not just for speed. They help to create a safer, more practical and roomier cruising boat that has class-leading internal volume. Elsewhere the 410’s side decks slope down aft, allowing for step-free access from the cockpit. The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410 is a worthy winner.
