Jeanneau 54 – Designed around the way you want to live

Naval Architect Designer, Philippe Briand had a vision to build a fast modern yacht with classic lines with accommodation that would easily cater for VIP owners and guests alike.

The exterior space is unrivalled in her class, including exterior terraces which enable the owners to gain access to the water quickly and easily. This is a truly globetrotting yacht that will exceed owner’s expectations in all areas. Jeanneau are happy to design a yacht sail plan to suit the particular sail area she is to be used in. Sail plans can include self tacking jib, fully batten main, releasable forestay and many more options that you will find detailed in the options list.

price-button-redThe Cockpit

A starting point with any yacht is the helm, key to this is to make a comfortable position in which to control the yacht with ease. All instruments are at the helm’s fingertips with instruments such as a Compass Auto Pilot, Electric Anchor Windlass, Bow Thruster and navigation instruments including a Touch Screen GPS and music system. All the data from the helm is relayed and displayed around the yacht to the various control stations.

Seating at the helm is both to the side and directly behind the wheel, allowing easy helming with a great view on port or starboard tack. A fold away seat directly behind the wheel lets you easily remove the rear seat obstacle should you wish. The Helm engine control is high up next to the wheel, allowimg you to change speed easily without having to bend down, an important factor when your manoeuvring this large yacht around a marina or picking up a mooring.

Sail handling is kept very simple considering a yacht of this size and capability. A key feature being that all winches are situated close to the helm station. Electric rewind winches situated just in front of the helm will enable you to sheet in and out easily. She also has a sheet line locker under the seat next to the winch that helps to keep the cockpit clear of rope.Jeanneau 54 Yacht sailing with a man at the wheel

The Cockpit Terrace

Patented design by Jeanneau this terrace system operates electronicaly, either by remote control or by buttons at the helm. Simply operate the system and watch the aft deck transform into a terrace that gives you direct access to the water. Seeing this system function will make you wonder why other yacht designers didn’t think of this before.

With the terrace fully down, two sun lounger seats become available that fold down close to the waters edge. Absolutely perfect to use when you’re in your favorite anchorage.

Cockpit Table

Centrally situated, the beautifully designed cockpit table seats six or eight people comfortably. The table contains a fridge and life raft storage and even an integrated serving tray that you can bring in and out of the galley area. This serving tray fits snugly into the centre of the table so it won’t slide around even when you’re underway.

Foredeck Sun Lounge

Something that has never been done on a yacht of this size by any other manufacturer is the inset forward sun lounger. Situated between the mast and the bow of the yacht this innovative design folds out of the deck to make a sun lounger with Bimini top. A very private space to enjoy away from the hustle of the cockpit in almost any condition.

Just forward of the sun lounger is a climb down locker. This locker is capable of storing your dingy, sails, and folding bikes. Large enough to house accomommodate a skipper and crew member, that is if you wanted to keep crew quarters away from the main accommodation. The space can also include a sink, shower and toilet if necessary.

Side Decks

Generous, wide and uncluttered side decks have a raised side profile, it helps to keep your footing inboard the yacht when you’re moving down the side deck in rough seas. The high guard wire also gives you a great sense of security, perhaps when conditions are a little rough. The feeling of security on board the Jeanneau 54 Yacht can be fairly described as that super yacht feel, a true sense of well being and safety that has in the past been reserved for much larger and more expensive yachts.

Deck Hatch Companionway

Another innovative feature of the Jeanneau 54 Yacht is the spring loaded companionway hatch. This simply disappears into a resess that makes hiding the companion way door quick and simple.

Down Below

On entering the saloon, you will immediately feel the high class and finish of the interior. This interior encompasses a lot of new design that was first introduced on the Jeanneau 64 Yacht. Andrew Winch, a super yacht designer did a fantastic job on the Jeanneau Yacht Range, bringing into the rage the most incredible detail down to the small fittings. This is an interior that will impress our customers. Thanks to state of the art production techniques, Jeanneau have brought the cost of owning a super yacht down to an incredibly affordable level.

The Yacht is available in two distinctive wood finishes. One version being a teak finish, the other a light oak as seen in the video on this page. Floor colour options are available ina choice of light or dark wood.

Layout options range from the standard version, this is a 3 cabin 3 head ( toilet ) version, or you could go for the 4 cabin 4 heads (charter version) or even a 5 cabin 3 heads version if you’re thinking of a large family with children requiring a cabin each. Another innovative option is a 2 cabin 2 head version that involves having the galley aft, away from the saloon area. Great for entertaining and for those of you who want to keep food preparation separate from the main saloon.

A standard saloon table seats six to eight people. You can upgrade this table to one that is electrical operated and lowers in two parts to make either a bed or another seat at a smaller table.

The saloon area features a central bench that provides great bracing when you are in the galley. This bench allowes the option of utilising the void space to house a sliding TV. At the flick of a switch from behind the main saloon seat the TV will rise from the bench, intantly turning the saloon area into a lounge that can be used as a TV room.

Summery of the Jeanneau 54 Yacht

To summarise, this yacht has been deliberately built in order to contain multiple zones encompasing steering, sailing, dining and lounging areas. It will come as no surprise that this is the largest cockpit available on a yacht of its size and class. Accommodation can be customised to suit many uses. Designed to give everyone a VIP high standard of accommodation.
