Jeanneau Velasco 37 Flybridge
Every square inch of the Velasco 37 Flybridge Motor Yacht has been put to good use by the Jeanneau design team.
It is well suited to families as it has a high freeboard, deep cockpit and substantial side deck bulwarks, which allow children and adults to move about quickly and safely. It also boasts a small side door next to the inside helm position and within easy reach of the cleats, very useful for single handed helming. Other luxuries include tall seat backs and guardrails, modular furniture that converts some of the seats into sun pads as well as allowing those on the navigation bench to face forward when cruising and aft when dining, unusual on a boat this size.
Storage has been optimised by creating a big underfloor storage locker in the saloon and drawers in the furniture bases. It has a curtain track around the convertible dinette in the saloon to allow guests privacy when sleeping without imposing a third cabin thus maximising storage.
Simple shaft drive engines with optional bow and stern thrusters keep purchasing and running costs low, while the emphasis is on fuel-efficient cruising in the low 20s rather than outright performance. Luxuries such as the optional hydraulic bathing platform are still available for those wishing to indulge.
This should appeal to new and seasoned boat owners alike as it is a refreshingly honest and affordable craft.
