Merry Fisher 755 Marlin
Jeanneau Merry Fisher 755 Marlin… 4X4 Of The Sea
The Merry Fisher 755 Marlin has an aggressive look and style that you might expect from a hard working fishing boat. That rugged tough look with the forward slanting wheelhouse screen makes for a very comfortable and roomy wheelhouse.
Sliding side doors certainly give her the look and feel of a purposeful working fishing boat. The 755 Marlin design team has conceived two exterior cockpits and two deck layout configurations for you to choose from.
A choice of outboard engines allows increased speeds with a bigger Engine but a 755 Marlin will make nearly 30 kts with a modest 150hp. engine. Greater speeds and load carrying ability will be achieved with bigger engines (up to 175) with a small increase in initial purchase cost and on-going fuel consumption. However, the modern Honda engines that Network Yacht Brokers Conwy prefers to fit are very economical to maintain super fuel efficient. So if the budget will stretch to the bigger engine our advice is to always have the reserve horse power to hand as you may never know when you need it.
The 755 Marlin is very much a fishing boat when built to the fishing configuration. She will stand out from the crowd; some would say she will do everything a fisherman wants. Unfortunately there is one thing the Jeanneau team have not mastered and cannot do. The 755 Marlin won’t catch the fish for you.
If you enjoy all round use of a boat for the family then order your Merry Fisher Marlin 755 in the very family-friendly “comfort” configuration. The Marlin is still edgy and will be at your side every step of the way with ever version you choose.
