Honda have debuted a concept of their all new BF250 Outboard motor a the Miami International Boat show this month. The new BF250 engine will be available later this year, and will be the most powerful outboard engine produced by Honda Marine. The BF250 reflects a growing trend of boatowners with larger craft who wish to benefit from the incredible efficiency of modern outboard engines, the ease with which they are maintained and low environmental impact.
Based on a 3.6 litre engine unique to this model, The BF250 will benefit from all of Honda’s marine expertise and cutting edge technologies such as BLAST™, VTEC® and ECOmo, and will be fully NMEA compliant enabling data to be interfaced with NMEA displays for total engine management.
Honda outboard engines already boast some of the lightest and most fuel efficient outboard engines in their class and continue to be at the forefront of new technologies. The new BF250 will continue this trend and has been designed with a sleeker, streamlined cowling and exterior. Just as importantly, the new engine will be one of the most environmentally friendly in it’s class, conforming to the most stringent of Emission regulations and upholding Honda’s concept of making minimum impact on the environment.
